Literary Footprints: Jerry White on Grub Street

Superb London historian Jerry White will be talking about Grub Street, notorious home of hacks, cheap publishers and general literary and poetical ne'er-do-wells until the early 19th century. Bohemian from before the term was known, it was an area of cheap, temporary lodgings, coffeehouses and prostitution - and isn't far from the library where the talk will be delivered.
