London Gay Men's Chorus – Band of Brothers

With A Band Of Brothers, its 21st anniversary gala concert, The London Gay Men's Chorus brings its unique sound to Royal Festival Hall. Celebrating both the Chorus's pursuit of musical excellence and its role as a ground-breaking LGBT arts organisation, A Band Of Brothers features collaborations from across the music industry which focus on equality and visibility, creativity and artistry, remembrance, fellowship and the future. The repertoire ranges from the exquisite harmonies of 'A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square' and 'You Are My Sister' (Antony and the Johnsons) to the roof-raising power of 'I've Got The Music In Me', Wagner's 'Pilgrim's Chorus' and tracks by Madonna and Lady Gaga. Comprising around 190 singing members, The London Gay Men's Chorus is Europe's largest and best known gay choir. Founded in 1991, the Chorus has worked with Sir Elton John, The Human League, k.d. lang, John Tavener and Howard Goodall and played venues as varied as the Royal Albert Hall, London Palladium, Sydney Opera House, Washington's Kennedy Centre and even Downing Street. The London Gay Men's Chorus charity partnership for this concert is with The Kaleidoscope Trust who work around the world to promote diversity and respect for all regardless of sex, sexual orientation or gender identity.
