Time Out says
Kicking off with a Map Fair on June 8-9, the London International Antiquarian Book Fair Week is centred around the three-day Antiquarian Book Fair (June 13-15, Olympia). This is the biggest and oldest book fair in the UK, and brings together more than 200 booksellers from around the world, displaying illustrated books, manuscripts, fine bindings, maps, prints and photography dating from the fifteenth century to today. Special guided tours, lectures and events aim to open up the world of antiquarian books to non-experts and families. One feature this year is the exhibition 'Books NOT Books', which will show the book in a variety of different forms – as art, as boxes, even as handbags and biscuit tins. This year sees the fair's expansion into seven individual fairs, being held across the week: alongside the Map Fair will be the Ephemera Society London Fair (June 9, Holiday Inn Bloomsbury); the Bloomsbury Summer Book Fair (June 9, Royal National Hotel, Bloomsbury); the PBFA London International Antiquarian Book Fair (June 14-15, ILEC Conference Centre, Ibis London, Earls Court); the London Photograph Fair (June 16, Holiday Inn Bloomsbury) and the Bloomsbury Summer Ephemera Fair (June 16, Royal National Hotel, Bloomsbury).
