LSO in Wartime: Create an Opera in a Day

Families will be transported back in time for this hands on workshop, to the moment a group of London Symphony Orchestra musicians go from being concert hall performers to soldiers on the battlefield. Participants will help to recreate the feel of LSO during 1914 and design a brand new opera inspired by wartime tales, with guidance from award-winning composers Rachel Leach and Tim Yealland. Principal flute player, Gareth Davies  will deliver a musical storytelling workshop and WWI themed props and accessories will be created for the final performance of the new opera. Spaces are limited and specifically for families with 8-11 year olds.
