Lunar New Year with An Việt Archives

Hackney’s Museum of the Home is celebrating the Year of the Horse by spotlighting Vietnamese culture. It’s tasked An Việt Archives and the Greenwich Vietnamese Women’s Group to help deliver two workshops exploring different aspects of Vietnam. First up is a hands-on fan dancing class, which will teach traditional moves of this powerful art form in Vietnamese culture used to tell stories. The second workshop will teach participants how to make Bánh Chưng – the iconic sticky rice cake that lies at the heart of Vietnamese family life. Tickets for both workshops are available on a pay-what-you-can sliding scale.
