You know those cafés where kids can paint pottery while you sip tea? Make Your Own is like that, but with loads more choice. And for adults. The brains behind it refer to it MYO as an 'art gym for your creative muscles'. Here you can paint paper, tile or ceramics, make a book from scratch, design your own t-shirts and bags, or learn the art of decoupage, which is like sticking fancy collages all over stuff.

Participants are free to bring their own booze and snacks (or order in).

It’s like going back to being a kid in art class again, but with more fun, booze and a party playlist! Was brought here as a birthday treat and it was such a lovely way to spend 2.5 hours. I’d advise turning up on time as they have limited numbers of pottery to paint. Once chosen you are given some artistic advice and basically given free reign to uncover your creative flair. There’s plenty of paint, advice and wine (BYOB) on hand to get the juices flowing and once it’s fired in the kiln I hope to have a rather cool carafe to take home. Really nice atmosphere of good tunes and small groups getting to know each other. This is my kind of relaxation and therapy for the soul.

Amazing venue, hosts and activities. If you're looking to do something new, you've found the right place even for those, like me, with two left hands! BYOB is a nice addition too. I will be back.

MYO is truly brilliant - I am no artist but I had so much fun painting ceramics and the fact you can bring your own booze makes it even better! Diana and Sam were so knowledgeable and as they don't book loads of people into each session there is plenty of time to ask questions and get help. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

I love this place! I've been twice to paint pottery (with boyfriend/friends), but they have loads of other exciting crafty workshops I'd like to try. Diana and Sam are wonderful hosts and the studio has very calming vibes
