Time Out says

May Day is the biggest day in the Morris dancing calendar. It’s the day that sides (the proper name for the Morris dancing troupes), clad in their breeches, waistcoats and clogs, gather to welcome in the summer. Here in London, Brixton-based side Tatterjacks will be at Brixton Windmill for its May Day celebrations. There’ll be traditional May Pole dancing, milling demonstrations, craft and nature workshops and a leaf-adorned Jack Green roaming around with his posse of cheeky bogies. Beer will be supplied by Brixton nano brewery Clarkshaws and food by locals like En Root, Deuce, Bread Bread and Emily Hunt Cakes. And there’ll be plenty of live folk music courtesy of London Metropolitan Brass Band and Brit Pop Folk Orchestra.
