Over half the people in attendance at the 2015 London ExCel Centre Comic Con were in full head to toe cosplay attire. People-watching has never before been this good. Sure, there are plenty of Jabba the Hutts around the place, and even one or two people dressed as Jabba the Hutt, but for the most part those opting for more skimpily dressed characters were fit for public display. Not that body image has anything to do with Comic Con though. It's all about self-expression and fun, reconnecting with childhood and reveling in the popular culture that surrounds us all in adulthood. Never have I felt less judged when screaming out film references with my mates at the top of our voices, or posing for snaps with incredibly, ehh, 'photogenic' ladies in Poison Ivy dress up.

This Comic Con was my very first, and I wasn't fully on board to begin with, but it was such a joyous atmosphere that it soon had me joining in all the interactive displays and having a general blast(er) with random strangers in Star Wars uniforms. Perhaps I'll even cosplay next time. Bagged a decent amount of free swag too, including a super creepy collectible Vault Boy mask. Holy sugar bombs I can't wait for Fallout 4!
