Time Out says

Charles Dickens often wrote late into the night by candlelight and was fascinated by the effects created by flames. Visitors to his former home will be surrounded in what the Victorian writer called ‘a ruddy, homely, brilliant glow’ and experience what it was like to be in a Victorian home after sunset. The evening openings are aimed at adults with timed entry from 6.30pm.
