The idea behind this micro-granting dinner is simple but clever. Guests donate a minimum of £10 (plus booking fee) to enjoy a night out, entertainment and a good meal which have been all been gifted by local companies. During the meal local charities, community groups, initiatives and social entrepreneurs will pitch their proposal to the diners who will then vote on which project receives funding from the money raised that night. It's sort of like a community beneficial Dragon's Den, plus food, minus horrible put-downs.
