Nerd Nite

At this monthly event nerds who like a drink or three are invited to unite and celebrate all things geek though a series of short talks on a broad range of unashamedly nerdy topics. All profits from the night will go to Shine Trust, a Manchester charity that supports disadvantaged teengers through education. This month's pressing points include 'why should pandas get all the praise?', questioning why these breeding-shy bears get a higher profile than other less adorable endangered species and 'Monkey to man: how human is human?'.
