Nour Festival: Journey from the East

This family friendly event will take participants on an epic adventure from East to West using music as a guide.The workshop will focus on Middle Eastern and North African instruments from the RCM Museum of Music's collection and explore their journey from the hands of their makers in Asia and Africa, across Europe and into the laps of London music makers. Working harmoniously with professional leaders from the Royal College of Music and Chickenshed, along with budding musicians from the RCM, participants will create an informal performance at the end of the day, based on ideas and inspiration from the stories they have heard.
