Though Ricky Gervais is an infinitely more polarising figure than he was 10 or 20 years ago, his popularity remains undeniable, with a lengthy run of London dates split between the Palladium and Wembley Arena lined up. Honed by a tour that’s already run for over a year, new show Mortality promises to look at the absurdities of life and death.

While most parents will recognise Hot Wheels as a brand of very tricked out but very small toy cars, the brand also has a live spin off in which full size, very much not toy cars do improbably spectacular things in arenas. We’re promised ‘epic jumps, jaw-dropping tricks, and full-throttle thrills for fans of all ages’ in the Hot Wheels Stunt Show, and your little ones may or may not be thrilled to know that we’re promised appearances from ‘GT Scorcher, Boneshaker, Rodger Dodger and more’. Although only in town for two days, it’s cramming in an impressive four performances a day, with each show prefaced by an opportunity to explore the arena and take snaps with the vehicles.
