So, to mark 70 years of the Queen’s reign, the iconic landmark is celebrating in style. We’re not just talking decorations fit for a royal – everyone who visits the street and spends £30 will be given their own, limited edition gift.
That’s right – we’re talking collectable merch. What’s a momentous national event without it? Oxford Street have teamed up with British illustrator Will Rae to create tote bags for shoppers who spend over £30 in participating stores over the weekend (from Friday June 3 to Sunday June 5). But that’s not all. There’s also the chance to win serious prizes, as 70 lucky shoppers will win a £100 voucher – hidden randomly inside those tote bags – to spend at your favourite Oxford Street store .

There’s plenty going on across the stores, too. Thinking of sorting out your home? Grab the decor of your dreams in John Lewis. The store will be fully decked out in all things British, there will be live music performances and cookery demonstrations – and a limited edition menu in the rooftop bar, Willows on the Roof, which includes a Coronation Chicken Wrap and a Jubilee Cocktail. Or head across to the roof of Aqua Kyoto, for delicious cocktails and raise a glass to the last 70 years overlooking stunning views of Oxford Street . Sounds good to us.
