Jeremy Seabrook, author of more than 40 books on poverty and its effects, discusses his new book Pauperland, describing attitudes to the poor all the way back to the Middle Ages, as well as the lives of today's poor. Along the way he'll discuss the Poor Laws and why the poor now get blamed for so many of society's ills.
