While it’s unclear if the other three Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have green spaces named after them, this Essex gem boasts an ornamental lake and parklands designed in a competition to realise a ‘modern arcadia’. A Mr and Mrs Raphael (coincidence?) opened the park in 1904, helped by public donations of benches, ducks and swans.
