Held in honour of Lord Jagannath (Lord of the Universe), this colourful Hindu festival will be celebrated through the streets of Harrow. Statues of three deities, Jagannathji, his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra Devi, will be paraded in a grand procession on specially made chariots called raths , which are decorated with flowers. The event begins at 1.30pm at Queensbury Park; devotees take part by pulling the chariots back to the Shree Swaminarayan Temple, where the festivities continue.
