This panel discussion examines how motherhood is portrayed and represented in the media and within the history of art and photography. The speakers include Sara Rumens, lifestyle picture editor at
Grazia magazine, and art historian Simon Watney, and will be chaired by Dr Tracey Jensen, senior lecture in sociology and social policy at the University of East London. The evening ties in with the current Photographers' Gallery exhibition, 'Home Truths: Photography, Motherhood and Identity', and its companion exhibition at the
Foundling Museum, 'Home Truths: Photography, Motherhood and Loss.'
