Sheaffer Sunday Matinees: Composers in Love

Working in collaboration with actors including Martin Jarvis, Simon Russell Beale and Juliet Stevenson, over the coming year pianist Lucy Parham hosts a series of musical and literary performances on the theme of composers and their love lives. The programme encompasses tales of Robert Schumann and his pianist wife Clara (January 19), the two greatest romances of Franz Liszt March 16), readings from Claude Dubussy’s revealing journal (Oct 19) and the volatile relationship between Frédéric Chopin and novelist George Sand (Nov 23).
