Merge, the annual riverside arts, music and performance festival at Bankside, has some special guests this year in the shape of six robots created by French artist and scientist Patrick Tresset. The Pauls, as they're called, will each sketch portraits of the public, taking around 30 minutes to each draw the sitter from a different angle, sketching in the way Tresset used to draw by hand. If you don't fancy being the sitter, you can watch the action from an artist's studio set up for the duration, and the drawings will form part of an exhibition.
