For those most intrigued by domestic architecture, the willingness of private individuals to open their homes as part of open House London is an enormous boon. In their original state Victorian houses have a very recognisable layout. And they can be much of a muchness when they’re done up too. Not here. Architect Luis Trevino pretty much gutted this Putney house, found ways to flood the place with light and added a covetable loft-level master bedroom with a balcony. A warning – the top floor is unsuitable for children and anyone who suffers from vertigo.
