A different kind of surfing comes to the City this week with the arrival of the Flowrider Surf machine, which pits wannabe surfers against a rubberised board pummelled by 250 gallons of water per minute at 30mph. One-hour slots for two groups of four people are bookable in advance, and wetsuits, changing rooms and locker facilities are provided on site - along with an instructor demonstration.
