[title]
Horrockses is the womenswear label credited with shaking up the high street in the years after WWII. This talk explores the success of the label's ready-to-wear range, and the relationship between couture and ready-to-wear that ensued (and continues to this day). The talk, given by design historian Christine Boydell, also explores the vintage fashion label's relationship with artists – a subject also picked up in the 'Artist Textiles: Picasso to Warhol' exhibition currently on display in the gallery (the ticket price for this talk includes entry into the show). Booking required.
