The Bartlett Installations for London 2012

For the London 2012 Olympic Games, the Bartlett School of Architecture presents five architectural installations designed and built for locations around the capital. The works on show are: 'Alga(e)zebo' (Euston Square Gardens, NW1 2DU), a decorative steel gazebo structure for rest and contemplation; 'Bloom' (located at different times at London Live in Victoria Park, E2, UCL main quad and Trafalgar Square), a garden pavilion structure that gives people the chance to play with flexible building 'cells'; 'House of Flags' (Parliament Square, SW1A 2JX), a structure comprising 206 panels containing the flag icons of all the countries participating in the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics; 'Tr(ee)logy' (South Kensington tube station forecourt, SW7 2NB), a series of tree-like signposts; 'Universal Tea Machine' (London Live in Victoria Park, E2), a pavilion-size computer that celebrates the British appetite for a cuppa, which also pays homage to mathematician Alan Turing's Universal Turing Machine.
