Brent’s contribution to reggae and bass has been immeasurable: in the ’70s, Wembley hosted the first festival of Caribbean music, Bob Marley lived in Neasden and iconic Willesden label Trojan Records was instrumental in bringing reggae to the world. This weekend-long festival will take over Harlesden High Street with performances by pioneering Brent reggae artists including Don Letts, Big Zeeks and Janet Kay, plus talented emerging artists. This London Borough of Culture event takes place on Oct 3-4.
