We took part in the late session on a Friday at The Castle in Tooting. The set up and location were great, wonderful to have the option of a few drinks and some food in the wonderful Castle pub before. It's worth noting that no drinks are allowed to be taken into the tent, which is lucky as there is no way you will finish this in time if you are distracted at all.

Instructions were clear and options given for us to be able to create our perfect Battenburg cake. We chose a tropical themed cake with Rum, Coconut and chocolate the main flavours.

When we got a little stuck with the jam making, we were given some help by the very friendly helpers in the tent.

All the equipment was easy to use and given to each pair.

Once the time was up, the judge took a look and tasted each of the cakes - giving some positives to each and then gave the top 3 in reverse order.

We won! And were given some branded wooden spoons as well as a jar of home made curd each. Every couple gets to take home the cake to enjoy afterwards.

Would highly recommend this as a fun evening as a pair or as a work related event as a big group.

If you're a fan of Bake Off or just love baking then you don't want to miss your chance to experience The Big London Bake. Set in a big white tent à la GBBO, it doesn't take long to get into the competitive spirit and imagine you're on the show for real!

My friend and I visited during Battenburg season (the baking theme changes every couple of months) and had great fun thinking up interesting flavours for a twist of the classic cake.

We had just 90 minutes to bake our creation - and the time really does fly! Luckily, most of the instructions were clearly written out for us - we just adjusted for our own flavours - and the staff were all super helpful, offering tips on flavours and how to make sure we didn't burn the jam!

At the end there was even a real Mary Berry style judging and a winning cake was chosen (we came in at a respectable second place!) and we could then take our cake home to enjoy.

Overall it was a really fun experience and I'd definitely go again when the theme changes so I could have a go at another challenge.

My friend and I recently participated in the Big London Bake and had a fab time! We had 90 minutes to create a Battenberg which was a tad nerve wracking! However, the staff were super helpful and we managed to get it all done on time. I was really impressed by the number of flavours and fresh ingredients available to choose from. The judging at the end was very nice and seemed very fair. I would definitely recommend for a couple's date night or friend night out!

Do you love baking and love The Great British BakeOff but too shy for TV then this is a great alternative.

I went along with some others and whisked, rolled and drizzled my way towards victory (well second place) all within 90 minutes.

Following the ingredient cards it was time to bake or create a big mess.

Step 1: Firstly make the dough
Step 2: Roll, prick, cook the pastry, rest
Step 3 & 4: Make the custard and jam
Step 5 & 6: Fill the tart and get creative

It was such fun and was tense when it came to judging time as I love to win but I came second place which was ok I suppose, lol.

So if you love baking and up for a challenge then this is a great event to attend with faimly, friends or even work colleagues for a fun social.

Absolutely awesome day out; I would thoroughly recommend this experience for a date night/ group outing. The staff were welcoming, friendly and made the experience so very enjoyable for a novice baker such as myself! It is clear that they have an genuine passion for the event and were very attentive to everyone there. The atmosphere was relaxed with a little bit of a competitive element, recreating a true GBBO vibe. I left  the tent with a big smile on my face and will be definitely returning again in the new year. 10/10.

If you're a Bake-Off fanatic, or just fancy yourself a great baker, this is definitely a good day out! Myself and my team member (you bake in pairs) competed during Genoise week; we were challenged to make a light, fluffy sponge made without any raising agents. You're given a bare recipe and allowed to improvise on the flavours and decorations with a pantry of items in the tent. There are chefs to help along, although they can be a bit over-bearing at times, so not to worry of you are a novice baker. With a cake to take home and a wooden spoon for the win, In true Bake-off style,  it's more about the fun than the prize.

This was a great day out as part of a corporate team build. Our only comment was that one of the two cooks was repeatedly rude to the team which was a great shame but did not spoil our day and we fed that back to the company directly.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening and you'll learn some baking tips too. I highly recommend it whether a novice or more experienced cake maker.

I couldn't rate this enough! I went with a friend a couple of weeks ago and had a blast! It's a very clever concept and is expertly executed. From the marquee to the mixing bowls, you really feel as if you are a contestant on the show. No corners have been cut, the cooking stations are top quality and all of your ingredients are provided with more than enough treats for decorations. The staff are very professional, but there's a really nice relaxed feel that you don't often get with 'organised fun'. Perfect for groups, or would make a smashing first date - although be prepared to get competitive!

No experience needed, I had never baked before. Everything provided, all the ingredients measured out, all you have to do is follow the instructions and be creative. Great fun !

Awesome experience even for a non baker! The staff, setting and concept are all amazing. Great way to spend an afternoon competing against friends and family.

Me and my boyfriend did this last Sunday, it was brilliant! It is literally like being on the TV set, the staff were helpful but still left you to your own creation to beat the other bakers. All the ingredients is provided and prepared so you get a full 90 mins to bring it all together and add your own flavours and decoration etc. It's surprising how competitive it gets! Neither of us are bakers hence our 6th place genoise didn't quite cut the mustard but we'll 100% be back for gingerbread month in July.

Amazing pop up! The experience was so fun, and it felt like a real GBBO! Well put together, there was everything you needed and generally really really fun! I totally recommend it to everyone!

A very enjoyable, well put together experience. The staff, lay out and running of the pop up is brilliant from start to finish. We had a great time and felt like we were on a TV cooking show! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who fancies their chances at baking or is looking for something little bit different to do in London!
