Time Out says

There’s so much more to food than its taste. How does smell contribute to flavour? Does what you see effect your eating experience? And how has research into strawberries revealed the impact of sound on gustatory experience? As part of the national Being Human Festival of the Humanities, this Rethinking the Senses project will consist of live demonstrations, talks and experiments. At 2.30pm and 7pm Professor Charles Spence will be giving lectures on the perfect meal and at 3.30pm Stephen Nelson will talk about the history of perfume. The event is free but booking online is required for talks and demonstrations. Look online for a full line-up.
