Hogarth's prints basically provide a direct phone number to the 18th century. Hems are loose and legs are cocked in his crowded street scenes; figures literally flop with their licentious behaviour. Professor Gregory Dart will discuss Hogarth's impact on Coleridge, Lamb and Hazlitt.
