Most British kids manage to avoid cooking their first meal until they are about 16; some even make it to uni before attempting beans-alla-toast on their own. The Italians put us to shame, welcoming their children into the kitchen from a young age, passing down family recipes and encouraging creativity in the kitchen. Maurillio Molteni and his all-Italian team at Tozi restaurant and bar are launching a series of children’s cooking classes to teach would-be little chefs the art of making filled pasta, pizza, biscotti and gelato. The classes, which are suitable for kids aged six plus, take place during the school holidays and can be booked by phone or by emailing reservations@tozirestaurant.co.uk.
