Four film-centric photographers – Adrian Bryant, Anne Cauvin, Fabio Pezzarini and Fiona McVeigh – rummaged through old boxes of pictures at markets and in second-hand shops to produce the collection that Lomography are displaying this August. Set up in the basement gallery at their east London shop, the photos are displayed with new stories about the moments before and after the snaps were taken.

I really enjoyed this little exhibition, found on the way home. The images retrieved like lost treasure taken from negatives sourced from various flea markets in london, snapshots from time gone by, accompanied by imagined stories which made me smile. The images were real and non-contrived taken by people along the way from c1920 - c1970, alive moments in time. The captions are retold with a lovely humour. The shop upstairs is filled with unusual cameras for sale which i hope to explore more next time. there is a film printing service and the place has a really great feeling. thank you for these moments and this experience on my way home which normally is just routine.
