Ultra Vanities: Bejewelled Make-up Boxes from the Age of Glamour

This niche exhibition hosted by jewellery house Goldsmiths charts the changes in twentieth-century design history through a display of some 200 make-up boxes. Featuring simple cases from the 1920s and adorned boxes from the 1950s, the show lifts the lid on make-up boxes as a statement of class and status. The objets d’art will be exhibited at Goldsmiths' Hall, which has been given a 1930s Parisian salon makeover for the occasion.
