Harley Street is surely the best known medical street in the world, and this walk – which begins with a short tour of the Royal College of Physicians – will explain why. Sir Frederick Treves, discoverer of the Elephant Man, and speech therapist Lionel Logue (the non-royal star of ‘The King’s Speech’) both worked here, as did the ‘King of the Quacks’, John St John Long. The walk ends – in Cavendish Square – at a statue made of soap.
There’s no need to book in advance – just arrive 15 minutes before departure.
