The London 2012 sailing test events take place in Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour, neither of which are that close to London but don't let that put you off. No tickets will be sold but anyone is free to head to the shore to watch the action, which should be fairly tasty with medals up for grabs in all disciplines except match racing. The nine others include Windsurfers, Skiff, Keelboat and various kinds of Dinghy. Sailors from more than 60 nations will compete in 170-plus races. You won't be able to get there on the tube.
