Venue says Whistle Punks is the UK's first urban axe throwing venue. Come along to sling axes, get bulls-eyes and get ultimate glory. Let's do this!

Well, this is new: urban axe throwing. That's right, at Whistle Punks you can throw axes at walls in exchange for £29 (£22 off-peak). An instructor will watch your every move and you can't throw drunk, in case lop someone's head off. Each throwing lane is empty and enclosed, so it's totally safe, and once you've finished you can head to the pub, because they only serves soft drinks and crisps onsite.

Whistle Punks says
Whistle Punks Urban Axe Throwing is the most satisfying and social day or night out you’ll ever have (according to us and we are definitely non-biased.)

You’ll be slinging axes side by side against your friends or colleagues, hitting bulls-eyes and cheering on your mates. All backed up with great music and atmosphere and a chance to socialise between throws.

Our experienced throwing coaches will get your throwing like a pro in no time. Then once you’ve got the hang of it we’ll take you and your group through a tournament until the king or queen of axes is crowned.

Let's do this!

This is lots of fun and a great group activity that conjures a bit of competition - I will definitely be going back for another round or two. You get a few practice goes before you go into a mini tournament and then it’s every axe thrower for him/herself! It’s harder than it looks, but don’t worry, there are professionals who will be there to give you helpful tips and encouragement.

Tip: it can get a little nippy in the warehouse, so bring something warm and comfortable so you can move and swing an axe in. For obvious reasons, it’s a no alcohol event - leave that for the celebration afterwards! They do offer a few small snacks and non-alcoholic beverages on site so you will have something to pick of if you're feeling peckish.

Good For: large groups, something different, catching up with friends, work event, date night.
