Got the biking bug yet? Even if Hoy, Wiggins, Pendleton, Froome et al haven't convinced you to don the Lycra and push those pedals (or watch others do it, at least) then Six Day London might just do so.
This brand new festival of track cycling at Lee Valley VeloPark on October 18-23 promises to become one of London's best new annual events. It features 60 races over six superb nights at one iconic London venue, with many of the world's top racers taking part. The excitement isn't just on the track, with a noisy party atmosphere, light shows and live entertainment including Ministry of Sound DJs.
To celebrate the arrival of Six Day London, we're offering you the chance to win this cycling package. It's pretty nifty, we're sure you'll agree.
• A Condor Lavoro single-speed bike, with track styling, worth £1,200.
• A biking bundle of cycling shoes, pedals, helmet, jacket, jersey, shorts and gloves.
• Six tickets to track centre hospitality for the finale of Six Day London on Friday October 23, worth £200 per head.
All you need to do is to answer the following question.
A traditional chippie steeped in history. Happy Days is not only the location of one of the Jack the Ripper murders, but also the site where the notorious killer scrawled a message in chalk. Unfortunately this vital piece of evidence was wiped away by a Victorian bobby before the photographer got there, but you'll still see tour groups stopping off to have a ganders while you're eating your meal. Speaking of which: good ol' fish and chips is their MO here, with cod, halibut, rock salmon, skate, plaice and haddock to choose from. You can also get scampi, calamari, white bait, grilled king prawns, saveloy (of course) and spring rolls, amongst other options.
Venue says: “Jack the Ripper Tours offer – 20% of your total bill. Lunch or dinner before your tour, where Jack the Ripper left his clues.”
