Imperial War Museum London’s major new exhibition, Fashion on the Ration (March 5 – August 31), looks at how style survived and even flourished under the strict rules of rationing in 1940s Britain. The exhibition explores how men and women found new ways to dress, revealing what life was really like on the home front in wartime Britain.
To celebrate the opening of Fashion on the Ration, we’re giving away a prize package to one lucky winner that includes tickets for you and a friend to see the exhibition for yourself, an afternoon tea package in the IWM London café, the Fashion on the Ration Exhibition book, an exclusive Fashion on the Ration make-up bag and specially designed Fashion on the Ration sewing tote bag. To top it off, you’ll be treated to an overnight stay at The Cavendish, London, a deluxe four star hotel in the heart of London, courtesy of Superbreak – the UK’s leading short-break operator.
