Women in the Frame: National Portrait Gallery

Things to do, Walks and tours

Award-winning Blue Badge guide Rachel Kolsky has devised a tour of the National Portrait Gallery for International Women's Month. She will take you to some of her favourite pictures – including those of Mrs Thrale, Dame Kelly Holmes, Odette, Ellen Terry and Radclyffe Hall – and use them to tell the story of women in Britain from the Tudors to the present day. Expect to hear about monarchs and society hostesses, social campaigners and medical innovators – as well as the sculptors and painters who captured their images. Book by phone or by emailing info@golondontours.com.
