These popular sleepovers are open to accompanied Young Friends of the British Museum and their chums (annual Young Friends membership £22, £18 by direct debit). Every sleepover brings temporary and permanent exhibitions to life with storytelling surrounded by centuries of world history, before kids bed down for the night. The June event includes a chance to listen to Egyptian tales and create arts and crafts pieces relating to the Egyptian and Greek collections at the museum, then travel to North America during a morning trail of the 'North American Landscape: Kew at the British Museum' garden at the front of the museum (weather permitting). Booking essential. Age 8-15.
