Now is the perfect time to plan your next escape! Choose something to look forward to that lets you step off the city merry-go-round and recharge your batteries. Less than an hour by air from London, with flights from just £35pp each way with British Airways, Jersey is an ideal choice for an island break: breathtaking coast and countryside for romantic retreats, a fabulous food scene (including four Michelin-starred restaurants), adventure activities for sporty thrills and a wonderful choice of places to stay. There are luxury breaks, too, when you’re craving a spot of precious ‘me-time’.

In fact, Jersey is every kind of break you could want. All you have to do is choose how you really want to feel...

Feel... relaxed

When you want to unwind, Jersey’s island life is perfect – surrounded by sea, with country lanes to explore and gardens, vineyards and café culture to discover. Even better, many of Jersey’s loveliest places to stay offer all the R&R you need in one place.

Just outside the capital, St Helier, Hotel de France is one of a select number of spa hotels on the island. It has its own landscaped gardens and Ayush Wellness Spa, and when you’re ready to venture further, there’s a complimentary shuttle service to whisk you into town.

With a spa and health club, plus fine dining and a Champagne Lounge, The Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa has something to treat body and soul. Why not share the views overlooking St Aubin’s Bay with someone special?

Looking for vintage style with thoroughly modern luxury? Longueville Manor is a gorgeous boutique hotel with spa therapies, as well as facilities for sports and outdoor pursuits, like swimming, tennis and croquet.

If that’s all a little too Downton for you, there are jogging trails for your 21st century weekend regime, too! Find out more about these and lots of other spaces and places for relaxation at www.jersey.com/stay.

Feel... revitalised

If your favourite way to unwind is to get active, Jersey will get your energy levels buzzing. Take an invigorating RIB (rigid-inflatable boat) tour around the Island with Jersey Seafaris and enjoy the azure waters and shimmering white sands of Les Minquiers and Les Ecréhous, and the wild beauty of the north coast.

Alternatively, get to know Jersey by doing as well as seeing! Absolute Adventures, located on St Brelade’s Bay, offers professional-led activities, from coasteering and ‘blokarting'’ to water sports. St Brelade’s Hotel is the perfect place to stay. It has its own gym club with a pool, amazing ocean views and soft beds for when you finally want to rest.

From St Clement, Jersey Kayak Adventures runs sessions for all abilities, taking you out on the sea to explore the coastline and caves, and maybe even spot some wildlife (perhaps even a dolphin or two).

For a break with family or friends, Les Ormes Resort on the west coast combines stylish, modern accommodation with sporty facilities, including a golf course, pools, tennis courts and kids’ activities.

On the east coast, looking out to France, The Beausite Hotel is a one-stop-shop for a weekend retreat. This Grouville gem has a pool, spa facilities, a gym and an outdoor lounge (for when it’s hot). It’s also a great base for cycling and walking.

If you prefer city life, The Mayfair in St Helier puts you at the heart of the island’s capital, with a range of wellbeing activities, including the hotel pool, gymnasium, Jacuzzi and steam room.

Feel... reconnected

How do you like to reconnect? On Jersey you can lose yourself in the natural beauty of this incredible island or simply kick back and have fun.

The miles of unspoilt beaches and headlands along the coast make up the Jersey National Park, offering a chance to re-tune into the living world, as well as explore the island’s heritage and agricultural life.

At low tide, you can walk out to Elizabeth Castle, across the bay at St Helier (there’s a ferry, for the less adventurous), or trace 800 years of history at the magnificent, medieval Mont Orgueil Castle, which overlooks the fishing village of Gorey.

Take a walk along the clifftops and over the dunes, or choose one of the Guided Walking Tours for stories of pirates and occupation, wildlife and island craft. How about a sunset stroll on a long, stunning beach or a reviving early morning swim? The wild north coast and serene south coast offer different pleasures, so make time to visit both.

If you’re looking for a half-term getaway, Tamba Park has something for restless spirits young and old – mini golf, the Zap Zone laser experience, micro boats, a dino trail and lots of other play areas to keep you and the kids busy from breakfast until home-time. There’s also a wealth of family-friendly fun on offer at aMaizin! Adventure Park near St Peter. Set on La Hougue Farm, the Park has barnyard animals to say ‘hello’ to, pedal tractors and go-karts. There are lots of outdoor activities and indoor play choices to keep the kids amazed and amused, whatever the weather.

To really reconnect, it’s important to find the right place to stay, too. The Atlantic Hotel is a luxury escape overlooking St Ouen’s Bay, perfect for romance and recharging your batteries.

Morvan Hotels have a range of options in town – both on the coast and around the countryside – that will suit every taste and budget. If you love to relax and perhaps chill by the pool when you get back from your days out, try the Seymour Hotels collection, which offer places to stay and dine around Jersey. They also have a splash-tastic aquadome.

Or how about somewhere truly unique? Freedom Holidays and Jersey Heritage Holiday Lets both have a wide range of self-catering options, from campsites to cottages, including the celebrated Barge Aground folly and the Corbière Radio Tower, which has been carefully restored in the Bauhaus style.
