Cargo containers certainly have their uses, but that doesn’t include giving away holidays to unsuspecting passers-by. Or at least, it didn’t until recently.

This was the strange situation that lucky London shoppers found themselves in when a cargo container suddenly appeared in the middle of Covent Garden for two days, courtesty of British Airways and Time Out. Those who were curious enough to take a closer look found themselves speaking to Cornelius, from British Airways’ air traffic control team, over a radio.

Then the fun really began. The passer-by was offered the chance to complete tasks, which led them to some incredible prizes – and each prize just happened to be linked to one of the 17 locations in British Airways’ 2018 destination hotlist, such as New Orleans, Barbados, the Seychelles, Croatia and Seoul.

Find out what happened by watching the video below. Discover more about the project, which was a joint venture between British Airways and Time Out, and read more about British Airways’ 17 hot destinations to check out in 2018
