When Jack Donnelly went down in that sub in the opening scene of episode one, little did he know he’d be dragging the rest of ‘Atlantis’ with him. We’re four episodes in now and any excitement promised has well and truly paled. This week, Jason, Hercules and Pythagoras are wandering in the woods when they stumble upon an abandoned child. Thus begins a series of ‘Three Men and Baby’ style gags surrounding feeding, cleaning and clothing, and the mission of finding out who this little boy belongs to.

Unsurprisingly, this isn’t the most dramatic of adventures, even with director Justin Molotnikov fitting in a few chase scenes. In fact, the show’s only saving grace is the likeable leading trio. Unfortunately, however, all the charm in Ancient Greece couldn’t save ‘Atlantis’ from the depths of bad broadcasting.
