Beyoncé and Friends Live at Twickenham
Sat June 1, 10.50-11.50pm, BBC1

Twickenham is more usually home to Clarkson-copycats waving the cross of St George and singing ‘Swing Low, Sweet Chariot’. So it’s a pleasant change to see it being used for the purposes of girl power. This concert is the brainchild of Chime for Change, a worthy if slightly vague-sounding organisation campaigning for ‘funds and awareness for girls’ and women’s empowerment’.
The big draw is the gifted Ms Knowles-Carter, whose stadium schtick is now honed to near-perfection. But also expect to hear from Ellie Goulding, J-Lo, Timbaland, Florence and the Machine and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who presumably will be speaking his words rather than singing them (although we can dream).
