Charlie Brooker’s 2013 Wipe; 50 Funniest Moments of 2013

As usual, there’s been plenty to hate in 2013. So at this most sentimental time of year, it’s only fitting that Charlie Brooker should get to beat some arsenic into the brandy butter. It’s edited up to the last moment, so no preview material was available, but expect Charlie’s unforgiving take on the twerking, horsemeat-eating, selfie-taking, royal baby-mooning miseries of 2013 to be righteously amusing.

In spite of a title attempting to lead us by the nose towards laughter, C4’s ‘50 Funniest Moments of 2013’ probably won’t be quite as sharply witty. It is two hours long, however, so it’s the kind of thing you can probably dip in and out of if you’ve reached the point where you really can’t be arsed to leave the sofa. Sometimes you don’t really want the last Quality Street in the tin. But you eat it anyway…
