The superhumans return… After C4’s rightly praised coverage of the Paralympics, many of the same individuals return for this, the second biggest global event for disabled athletes. More than 1,000 of them – 48 of them British – are gathering in Lyon for an eight-day contest (broadcast across the week on More4), with the winners in ten disciplines to be decided, including the men’s T36 long jump from 2.30pm and the men’s T54 10,000m from 6pm.
Brit medal hopes today including Hannah Cockroft in the T34 200m and Aled Davies in the F42 shot put. With Clare Balding possibly too busy for this sort of thing now, Jonathan Edwards and Arthur Williams will be anchoring coverage, while John Rawling leads the commentary team.
