If it’s spectacle you want from your rock concerts, look no further than Pink Floyd. Whether as a quartet or in their various splintered incarnations post-‘The Wall’, annual budgets of developing nations have been blown on bringing to life the music of Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason.

Forming the centrepiece of a Floyd-themed night (there’s a doc on ‘Wish You Were Here’ at 9pm and a compilation of performances at 11.35pm) is this 1989 concert from New York’s Nassau Coliseum. Minus Waters, the other three may have been promoting iffy comeback album ‘A Momentary Lapse of Reason’, but still plunder the back catalogue: expect to hear ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’, ‘Comfortably Numb’, ‘Time’ et al, all against the backdrop of an elaborate light show. Dadrock in excelsis.
