Thames Bestiary: alternative guided walk

Starting at the Greenwich entrance to the Greenwich Foot Tunnel, a few minutes from Cutty Sark DLR, this walk takes you round the former industrial land of the North Greenwich Peninsula. Along the way, Rosie Oliver will introduce you to lions rampant, caged canaries, Pacific whales and ship worms as she describes the history of the area. Taking roughly two hours, the walk finishes at the O2, near North Greenwich tube. It is aimed at adults and over-14s. Bring a camera.
