The East Village hits L.A. this weekend when one of the world's most influential cocktail bars pops up on the border of Historic Filipinotown and Echo Park.
Excuse us while we casually have an excitement meltdown, but DTLA is getting its own outpost of NYC's Death & Company this November. Before we'll all be sipping whiskey tinged with sherry, lemon and birch or a fun science-stabilized fizz made with butter, honey, allspice, vanilla and cinnamon, we can get a taste this Sunday when the Death & Co. team brings their menu to one of our new favorite bars, Thunderbolt.
Stop by from 7pm to midnight and sip your way through a few à la carte—entirely new—cocktails, which you'll be able to find on the L.A. menu later this fall. Hungry? While Death & Co isn't trotting out the food menu just yet, you can order Southern-leaning bar bites from Thunderbolt (and we're telling you now, that shrimp and grits dish doesn't mess around).
It's all in preview of one of L.A.'s biggest bar openings of the year from one of New York's top beverage teams, so be sure to stake out a seat at the bar to see Death & Co shaking, stirring, slicing, infusing, grating and pouring their way to perfect drinks.
