The already-mostly-outdoors Manuela recently expanded into the Hauser & Wirth complex’s street art-filled garden, and now the boozy spinoff has hatched a weekly series to wind down into the weekend.
Every Friday night, from 5:30 to 9pm, you can step into the art gallery’s Garden Bar to find eight tiki-inspired cocktails (about $15 each) along with a similarly breezy beer menu with selections like Tiki Time Tropical Wheat and Stem Hibiscus Cider. You’ll find some tiki standards like mai tais during Tropical Nights, plus the option to up the refreshment with sparkling options for the daquiris and mescal-based piña colada milk punch.
On the food side, look out for plates like chili de arbol chicken, plus garlic shrimp and pencil cobb grits. Though Manuela proper accepts reservations, the Garden Bar only takes walk-ins (and is open for non-Tropical Nights on Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 9pm).
