We look ahead at the week's best concerts, comedy shows, dinners, art shows and more.

Monday

The Improvised Shakespeare Company
Largo, 8pm, $30

The actors (including Thomas Middleditch) speak in faux British accents and play up any number of Shakespearean tropes, yet this hugely popular show is anything but gimmicky. Good improv rises above.

Hot Tub
The Virgil, 8pm, $5

The adorably cracked Kristen Schaal and puppy-hugger Kurt Braunohler host their variety show, Hot Tub, every Monday night at the Virgil.

Tuesday

The Flaming Lips
The Theatre at Ace Hotel, 9pm, $43–$53

Watch—after a brief stint as Miley Cyrus's backing band—the Lips return to their psychedelic roots, confetti-filled stage spectacles and all.

Put Your Hands Together
UCB Franklin, 8pm, $7

Badass-adorable duo Cameron Esposito and Rhea Butcher co-host this stand-up showcase every Tuesday at UCB Franklin.

Wednesday

Night Market
Grand Park, free, 5–10pm

Eat your way around 50 booths from restaurants, bars and food trucks at the opening night of this Food Bowl centerpiece event.

Thursday

Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk
Downtown L.A., 6pm, free

Cruise Downtown L.A.'s galleries—roughly between 4th and 7th and Spring and Main Streets—every second Thursday of the month.

Com Truise
The Regent Theater, 8:30pm, $19.50

Despite adopting a dubious musical moniker, Seth Haley makes smart, vaguely '80s-tinged electronic music that we can only describe as the sonic equivalent of a VHS tape melting in the sun.

Friday

National Public Gardens Day at the Getty
Getty Center, 10:30am; Getty Villa, 1pm; free

Stroll through the spectacular gardens at both Getty locations with guided tours and garden-themed menus at their respective restaurants.

Constitution Happy Hour
Hammer Museum, 6pm, free to attend, $5 drinks

We the people, in order to form a more perfect happy hour, should attend this series of crash courses on the U.S. Constitution.

Radiotopia Live
The Theatre at Ace Hotel, 8pm, $29-$37

Listen to live broadcasts of a half-dozen podcasts, including 99% Invisible and Criminal.
