Wednesdays can be a drag. Sure, you’re halfway to the weekend—but that just means there is still half a work week ahead of you. What can you do to keep it fun and motivate yourself over Hump Day’s big hump? We’ve collected some fun things that happen all over Los Angeles on Wednesdays that make it a day worth looking forward to in its own right.

1. Check out the Craft & Folk Art Museum, which is free to visit all day on the first Wednesday of each month.

2. Do your shopping for the week amongst the city’s best chefs at the Santa Monica Farmers' Market, which runs from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Other Wednesday farmers' markets including ones in Hermosa Beach, Altadena and Downtown’s Pershing Square.

3. Think about the stars with a tour of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Public tours for individuals are only offered once each week, on alternating Wednesdays and Mondays.

4. Start your day at Alfred Coffee in Brentwood where you’ll find Free Range, one of LA’s best food trucks, parked outside from 7:30am to 3pm every Wednesday.

5. Low End Theory, the dance party that serves as ground-zero for LA Beat Scene music makers takes place each Wednesday at the Airliner. Residents include the Gaslamp Killer, Nobody and Daddy Kev and many weeks they’re joined by big-time special guests.

6. Treat yourself to dinner on the cheap at the Park in Echo Park, where Wednesday is burger day and you can get their classic burger and a side for half the normal price.

7. Edison hosts Willie’s Wednesday Sessions, a night of live jazz organized by local musician Willie McNeil. Get there between 5 and 7pm for discount cocktail hour.

8. Make it a #WineWednesday with happy hours at Pour Haus ($5 glasses from 4 to 7pm), Vinoteque (20 percent off everything from 5 to 7pm) or Mignon ($5 wine and $5 snacks from 6 to 8pm).

9. Take your little one out to a movie without risking the scorn of adults seeking quiet time with the My Parents & Me Matinee series at the Vintage Los Feliz 3 cinema. Each Wednesday morning they screen one of their current movies and allow kids under 4 in for free with an adult ticket.

10. Get down mid-week at Dub Club, LA’s longest-running roots reggae party that takes over the Echoplex every Wednesday night starting at 9pm. Some of the genre’s biggest names come through to DJ or perform—plus entry is free before 10pm.
